This motorcycle jacket was inspired by the sleek, high-speed world of racing cars—where performance, protection, and aerodynamic design converge. I repurposed leftover leather scraps to construct a bold, patchwork shell, echoing the layered complexity of a race suit while embracing sustainability through upcycling. To mimic the protective gear worn by drivers and bikers, I added foam padding to the shoulders and back, sculpted into ergonomic shapes that resemble body armor. These soft structures not only enhance the visual impact but also symbolize a shield for the human body in motion. The result is a statement piece that merges aggressive aesthetics with conscious craftsmanship—an homage to speed, strength, and sustainable design.
