Dune

Inspired by the cinematic world of Dune, my pants design and upcycling project draw from the film’s fusion of survivalist functionality and futuristic aesthetics. Set in the harsh desert landscapes of Arrakis, Dune highlights the importance of adaptability, resourcefulness, and protection against extreme environments—qualities I translated into my garment through durable materials, layered construction, and utilitarian details. By upcycling discarded textiles, I echo the Fremen’s philosophy of making the most of limited resources, transforming waste into wearable resilience. The result is a design that bridges sci-fi imagination with sustainable fashion, grounded in both narrative and necessity.
